They warn about Zonda wind in the West of La Rioja
The Early Warning System (SAT) reported that between Wednesday and Thursday there will be a Zonda wind alert, which will affect different departments of the province of La Rioja, located in the Western region.
In this framework, it will affect the departments of Chilecito, Famatina, General Ángel Vicente Peñaloza, Independencia, San Blas de los Sauces, the lower area of Coronel Felipe Varela, the lower area of General Lamadrid and the lower area of Vinchina. Gusts that can reach 90 km/h.
The area will be affected by the Zonda wind, with intensities between 40 and 70 km/h and gusts that can reach 90 km/h, which may be exceeded locally.
