The mayor of Cali, Alejandro Eder, rejected this violent event that occurred in the central area of ​​the municipality of Jamundí Valle del Cauca, and urged the National Government to toughen its strategy against dissidents with the sole objective of defeating them.

The Cali district administration offered up to $100 million pesos for information that would allow the capture of those responsible for the terrorist attack in Jamundí, Valle.

The motorcycle bomb attack in the early hours of this Wednesday, June 12, in the Juan de Ampudia neighborhood, in a commercial and banking area of ​​the municipality of Jamundí, Valle del Cauca, left six people injured, three of them seriously. , who have been receiving medical attention at the Valle del Lilí Foundation in Santiago de Cali, among them a police lieutenant and a patrol vehicle, in addition to Mr. Rafael González, a Venezuelan citizen who has been taking care of motorcycles and cars in the area for five years. where the attack occurred.

Regarding the health status of the injured, the Valle de Lili Foundation reported that all patients continue in their clinical care process at the institution, the most critical being the foreign citizen who has been undergoing surgery.

The mayor of Jamundí, Paola Catillo, rejected this terrorist attack and stated, “We have had several difficult months in our municipality. This morning we suffered two simultaneous attacks: a harassment in Potrerito, in the rural area, which fortunately did not report any injuries, but which once again disrupts the tranquility of our population; and an explosive device in our urban area, near the banking area, where there are four injured,” said the mayor.

The president reiterated the call to the National Government to prioritize Jamundí’s situation. “We demand that President Petro look towards Jamundí, because our citizens cannot continue in the middle of this war that does not belong to us, and they have the solution. We, here in the territory, have been working tirelessly to improve security, but this situation exceeds our capabilities. We ask that you not leave us alone.”
