Toyota presented the latest generation of the crowna crossover sedan and the first model produced in series by the Japanese firm in 1955. It has a hybrid turbo engine and it will be offered in a way limited.

It is the sixteenth generation of the original model and is produced in Japan at the Motomachi plant, where it is developed under TNG philosophy (Toyota’s New Global Architecture) in the GA-K platform.

The system is associated with a six-speed automatic transmission and e-AWD all-wheel drive which is responsible for electronically distributing power to both axles according to the dynamic requirements of the vehicle. This On-Demand distribution optimizes the control of the vehicle’s posture to achieve superior handling when entering and exiting curves.

Added to this is a MacPherson type front suspension and multi-link type rear suspension with stabilizer bar, which achieve direct and precise maneuverability.

Individually, the 2.4 liter turbo gasoline engine It has 4 in-line DOHC cylinders, 16 valves, with distribution chain and direct and indirect injection that reaches a maximum power of 272 HP at 6000 RPM and a maximum torque of 460 Nm between 2000 RPM and 3000 RPM.

For his part, the front electric motor It delivers a power of 83 HP of power and 292 Nm of torque; and the rear electric motor, It has a power of 80 HP of power and 168.5 Nm of torque.

Regarding consumption, the measurements show, for urban driving, 7.1 liters/100 km and, for extra-urban driving, 5.3 liters/100 km, resulting in a average of 5.9 liters/100 km.
