Last Sunday, June 9, in a home in Villa Flora, in the department of Rivadavia, a girl was beaten by her parents. After an abbreviated trial, the defendants identified as JA and MD, were sentenced by the San Juan Justice for the crime of serious injuries in the context of domestic violence for six months of conditional imprisonment, therefore, they will not go to jail.
The event occurred during the afternoon nap on Sunday, after a call to 911, police officers from the CESAP Detachment were present at the home where the agents interviewed the owners of the place who explained that they were having problems with their minor daughter. However, from a window that looked inward, the police were able to observe that the victim was asking for help, warning that she was being beaten.
According to the minor, her mother had hit her with a slap in the face and her father had hit her with a belt on her leg. At that moment, the agents were able to verify that the girl had a visible injury in her right eye and reported pain in her back and right leg. Therefore, she was transferred to the Doctor Guillermo Rawson Hospital to receive the corresponding medical assistance and rule out serious injuries. She was accompanied by her older sister who filed a complaint with the court.
Given what happened, the police proceeded to arrest the parents: JA and MD. In addition, the Territorial Approach Unit and the Assistant Prosecutor on duty were present at the scene of the incident to begin the Flagrancy procedure.
