Las Tunas.-Transforming the operation of the terminal, highly questioned today due to the number of negative aspects in its service, is now among the priorities of the Management of the Base Business Unit (UEB) of National Buses of Las Tunas.

As part of the change that is taking place, an investigation is already underway into the illegal sale of tickets, an evil experienced by many customers using the waiting list travel modality.

Added to this are other rigorous and systematic control measures to achieve transparency in the offering of the capacities of all the buses that arrive at the facility, Alexander Torres Pérez, recently appointed as director of the UEB, explained in a press conference.

He said that the work already shows some results and has the purpose of comprehensively improving the image and service of the terminal, which is provided not only by National Buses but also by Viajero and other security and protection companies.

“This, together with the material deficiencies and the deep-rooted nature of some evils, make the task especially complex, but we are sure that with the majority of its workers and the cooperation of the population, change will be achieved.

“For example, we already spoke with the administrator of the cafeteria inside and we agreed to suspend the sale of alcoholic beverages although they continue to be sold in nearby establishments, so we have to reinforce control to maintain discipline and order in the facility.”

He said that as part of the transformation they also plan to open a small room to ensure basic conditions for breastfeeding mothers, as well as a department and other communication channels to properly address the complaints and dissatisfactions of the population.

In their efforts, they do not ignore forms of training and preparation to raise the professionalism of their workers and that it manifests itself in their treatment of the public.
