Holguín, June 12 (ACN) Manuel Marrero Cruzmember of the Political Bureau and Prime Minister of the Republic, urged today to take advantage of the economic potential of port and transportation structures in order to promote development, in exchange with workers in these sectors in the Holguín municipality of Antilla.

As part of a tour of socioeconomic objectives of the northeastern territory, the leader visited the port, where he shared with workers from the Business Units of the Caribbean Navigation Base, Cuban Pilots and Mambisa Consignataria, and analyzed compliance with the instructions given in his previous visit. .

Marrero Cruz stressed to the government authorities in the town the task of supporting the rescue of the conditions in those areas, among which are a dock in poor condition and the provision of tanks to store fuel, which would save transportation costs. of loads and would speed up the delivery process.

Given the concerns of the workers, he argued that their right to receive payment for profits when appropriate, receive their salary on time or have decent working conditions should not be violated by the bureaucracy of some business systems, for which he suggested the creation of new state structures.

At the meeting at the UEB Transporte Antilla, Eberto Tamayo Moreno, director of the entity, presented the results and concerns of the workers, among them, that although they have seven technical means, the lack of fuel prevents them from functioning properly.

The Prime Minister stated that the answer to all problems cannot be privatization and called for the use of income-generating initiatives, for example, the recovery of bodywork services and agreements with other agencies.

Likewise, he pointed out the importance of achieving self-consumption of the institutions through agricultural production in orchards and plots, and advancing bankization through the creation of conditions from the workplace itself, such as the extra cash.

Later, in the municipality of Gibara, for which he was elected deputy to the Cuban Parliament, the head of government inaugurated the “Luces Martianas” children’s house, in the Popular Council of Uñas, with a capacity of 16 children and met with the voters of constituencies 37 and 55 of the communities of Pedregoso and La Nasa, respectively.

Accompanying the tour were Joel Queipo Ruiz, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and first secretary in the province; Manuel Francisco Hernández Aguilera, governor of Holguín; Sonia Chacón, deputy to the National Assembly of People’s Power for Gibara, and political and government authorities of the territory.
