In a key meeting for regional development, the Secretariat of Education of Casanare and the National Learning Service (SENA) have joined forces to promote educational and employment growth in the region. The Secretary of Education, Diego Fernando Ardila, and the director of SENA, Johana Medina Peña, met at the SENA 2024 Regional Council.

Strategic topics addressed during the meeting included:

Strengthening Educational Transit: It was analyzed how to facilitate the transition from secondary to higher education, ensuring comprehensive and coherent training for students.

Innovation in Tecnoacademia: The implementation of this strategy seeks to promote technological and scientific skills among young people, preparing them for the challenges of today’s world.

Development of Technoparks: Opportunities were explored to create spaces for research, development and entrepreneurship in technological and scientific areas.

Promotion of the Emprender Fund: It was discussed how to support local entrepreneurs, providing them with resources and advice for their projects.

Expansion of CampeSENA: This strategy seeks to bring technical and technological training to more people, expanding employment opportunities and professional growth.

Diego Fernando Ardila highlighted the relevance of this collaboration: “From the Ministry of Education, we continue to work in close collaboration with SENA to create and strengthen spaces that benefit our educational community and the productive sector of Casanare.”

For her part, Johana Medina expressed her gratitude to the Government of Casanare “for working for the benefit of the population of Casanare in matters of education, employment and entrepreneurship.”
