The UEPC rejected the salary proposal as “insufficient”

The Union of Educators of the Province of Córdoba (UEPC) decided yesterday to reject, considering it “insufficient”, the salary recomposition proposal presented by the management of Martín Llaryora. At the end of a plenary session of general secretaries held the day before, it was resolved to demand ““a new offer that contemplates the main demand for immediate salary recovery”.

Likewise, a schedule of assemblies was defined that will begin this Thursday by department, and will continue tomorrow with informative and resolution assemblies of two hours per shift in the schools.. In this regard, it was anticipated that the assemblies will resume Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.

Regarding this matter, the head of the teaching union at the provincial level, Roberto Cristalli, explained that “the proposal responds to our initial proposals when we had the first meeting, such as, for example, the guideline of 100% cumulative for the months of June, July , August and september”.

“In addition, it answers questions that have to do with union and salary claims from different sectors and different levels of the educational system. It contains the answer for teachers who work in hospital schools, and in programs that must travel every day and that the educational ticket will cover them for all the days, that is, the five days that they have to travel both in urban and interurban places,” said the trade unionist.

The head of the teaching union at the provincial level, Roberto Cristalli.

Next, he specified that it also “responds to what was raised regarding Fonid compensation for single-time and full-time teachers at the Provincial University.”

However, the UEPC boss objected to what would be the first tranche of salary improvement presented by the Civic Center authorities, the percentage of which was not disclosed. “The recovery for us should be more important starting in June,” he indicated. In addition, he pointed out the fact that “those retirees who are covered by article 58 and have double benefits, we have not been specified as to how much the minimum that the State will take to calculate the application of the article 58”. “We have also requested that the bands be raised from which the extraordinary contribution to the Retirement Fund is applied,” Cristalli explained.

The IPC update, “without answers”

For his part, he made special emphasis on the fact that “they have not given us a response or details to the request to update (the salary guideline) to CPI (Consumer Price Index) values.” In that, we have no answer, nor do we have an answer for the updates for the voluntary members that we have incorporated into Apross, which should be at guideline values and not the CPI. Furthermore, we do not have an answer either and we are going to continue working on this with the rest of the unions to suspend the deferral of increases for retired colleagues.”
