Driver nervousness

Dangerous load

During the search, the officers discovered red cylinders with the inscription “Gelamon”, an explosive material. Godoy explained that he gave instructions not to handle the cargo due to its dangerous nature.

The agents found a total of 20 boxes with approximately 500 kilos of explosives.

The driver, however, refused to specify the exact origin of the explosives.

Origins of the explosives: Villa María

The boxes with explosives bore inscriptions indicating that they came from Military Fabrications in Villa María.

In addition, numerous tools used for blasting in mining were found in the vehicle, suggesting that the detainee could dedicate himself to this activity.

When questioned, the man demonstrated that he had technical knowledge about explosives and the risk they represented.

Upon discovery, the explosives were transferred to the local Army for safe handling. By order of the federal Justice, the man was transferred to Criminal Unit No. 1 of Paraná, where he was housed while the pertinent investigations were carried out.
