The intense rains, which began during the early hours of this Thursday, have flooded various streets in Santiago, leaving them totally unfit for vehicular traffic.
Although the rainfall is expected to decrease in intensity during the afternoon, the rain will not stop until Friday, where at least 15 more millimeters of water are expected to fall.
Traffic cuts and detours
One of the flooded points is the level crossing Apartment with Great Avenue, which is disabled for circulation. The same happens with the Lo Echevers road towards Lampa and Apostol Santiago with Ecuador in Central Station, due to the high accumulation of water.
The level crossing Lieutenant Cruz on Route 68 is disabled, as is the Apostol Santiago Avenue.
In the commune of San Bernardo, one of the five traffic cuts is located in the Lo Espejo Avenue. Meanwhile, in Colina, the New Hill Avenueat the height of the municipality, is also disabled.
The Government requested special caution on the Melipilla Roadat the intersection with Tres Mantiene, which is still passable but with water accumulation.
