The federal judge number 2 of Santiago del Estero, Sebastián Argibay, prosecuted four Santa Fe residents who were arrested on May 25 when at a roadside station near Monte Quemado they were traveling in a Berlingo truck with 33 kilos of cocaine, hidden under the trunk and wrapped in piñata style balloons.

The magistrate prosecuted Daniel Amézaga, alias “Lolo”, originally from Laguna Paiva but currently residing in Santa Fe, Patricia Bergués and Flavio Quinteros, living in Laguna Paiva (mother and children among them) and Paula Ramón de los Hoyos, who said reside in Colastiné Sur, a district located halfway between the capital of Santa Fe and Paraná, according to the Zona Crítica Online portal.

They all left from Orán, Salta bound for Santa Fe when they were detained in a prevention and security road check carried out by personnel from the 59th Squadron of the National Gendarmerie Monte Quemado Section, at kilometer 456 of National Route Nº16 in the town of Burnt Mount.

Amézaga, known in the field of trafficking of different substances for 20 years, tried a defense arguing that he went to Salta to buy clothes to sell at his store in Santa Fe, but the Gendarmerie troops found nothing but clothes for personal use. in the van. Bergués pointed out that he accompanied his son on the trip proposed by Amezaga because the young man had a debt of 100 thousand pesos with “Lolo” and he feared for his safety.

Argibay prosecuted Amézaga, Bergués and Quinteros as material authors of the transportation of narcotics and de los Hoyos as a secondary participant in the same crime. The first three were subject to a seizure of 800 thousand pesos and the girl another for 300 thousand pesos.
