The emergency occurred around 6:50 am and the Police immediately activated a blockade plan to locate those possibly involved. In the midst of the investigations, the community reported that a subject was acting suspiciously in the vicinity of the scene of the incident and an inspection was ordered.
The uniformed men got a big surprise: They found feared conversations with a subject on his WhatsApp between 7:07 am and 7:21 am There you can read a series of instructions that, supposedly, were aimed at affecting the public force after the detonation of the explosive in the downtown area.
At first, they both greeted each other and, apparently, the man who was walking through the streets of Jamundí wrote: “It’s moving. What do we have to do?” The subject’s response was the following: “Nothing has been entered. So be it cop. “What happens, cop or guy, it’s up to you.” The pedestrian replied: “I heard they are coming from the axis.”
The latter insisted: “So, daddy, what do I do?” The one on the other end of the phone assured him: “Be alert. Don’t be too crazy. It’s coming, detonate.” The walker questioned: What happens if nothing happens?” and the other alleged: “Wait and that’s it. Because that has to sound like that. He was tender and look how he came out, melo.”
The step to follow was this: “Wait for them. Look at Tombos, Army, whatever, blow up and go where you know. Don’t wait for people to pass you. If she hasn’t passed, how are you going to detonate her. The ants are coming. Wait, be patient, have a soda,” was the last message that the researchers captured.
The interpretation given by the authorities is that, possibly, at that moment another terrorist attack was being planned in Jamundí and it is being analyzed whether it is related to the one presented minutes before that left six injured – four civilians and two uniformed -, a caretaker of motorcycles is the most delicate.
Initially, the man whose cell phone was found was taken to the Police facilities and is now circulating on the streets of the department, since he was not captured, although the material that was discovered on him is under the magnifying glass of the authorities. This was reported by the General of the Police, Jorge Antonio Urquijo:
“Our Police units managed to arrest a person who, thanks to information from the community, was wandering suspiciously in the sector. Verification activities are currently being carried out. “We have privileged information that will be made available to the authorities,” he said.
Regarding the man’s condition, this is what the high command responded: “This person is not in a captured condition, he is being taken away and we are carrying out the previous activities to verify his permanence in the sector and why, apparently, he had information that would be related to these events.”
