During the Month of May, he Córdoba Consumer Price Index (IPC-Cba) registered an increase of 4.08% compared to the previous month.

The Goods had a monthly variation of 3.30% and services 5.80%. The year-on-year increase reached 274.95%.
Considering the importance of each chapter at a general level, the monthly variation of the CPI-Cba in the month of May is largely explained by:
– Food and Beverages Chapter; mainly explained by the increases
in the average prices of food and drinks consumed in restaurants;
meat and derivatives; and bread and cereals.
– Transportation and Communications Chapter; largely explained by the
variations in the average price of fuels and lubricants; in the rates
taxis and taxis; and in the price of telephone services.
– Properties, Fuels, Water and Electricity Chapter; due to
increases in water rates; in rental prices; and of the
home repair or construction services.
– Miscellaneous Goods and Services Chapter; mainly due to the increase in
the average price of cigarettes and tobacco.
The general level of the CPI is disaggregated into three categories: goods and services with seasonal behavior, goods and services whose prices are subject to State regulation or have a high tax content, and the remaining goods and services that make up the CPI basket (inflation underlying or core).
In the month of May 2024, seasonal goods and services registered an increase of 1.18% compared to the previous month. For their part, regulated goods and services had a variation of 5.89%, while the rest of the products that make up the CPI basket registered an increase of 3.76%.
