A shocking road accident between a motorcycle and a truck left a woman dead in the city of Corrientes. The collision occurred at the intersection of Dr Wenceslao Domínguez and Cádiz avenues in the Villa Raquel neighborhood of this Capital, with the sad result of the death of a motorcyclist and an injured young man.
According to testimonies collected at the scene by the press, the truck loaded with dirt was circulating through Wenceslao Domínguez and when maneuvering to enter Cádiz it was hit on its right side by a motorcycle with two occupants: a young woman of approximately 20 years old who died in the place and a boy between 25 and 30 years old who was seriously injured.
It is presumed that the motorcycle was traveling at high speed, since when it collided with the truck, the two occupants were ejected; The young woman’s body ended up several meters from the vehicles.
The young man was rushed to the Escuela hospital and experts from the Corrientes Police worked at the scene.
It is worth mentioning that just two weeks ago, the Municipality of Corrientes ordered the change of the direction of circulation of two streets in the area with the purpose of improving road safety in the area.
Cartagena Street became a one-way West-East circulation route, from Juan Ramón Vidal Avenue to Wenceslao N Domínguez. While in Cádiz the circulation goes in an East-West direction, that is, from Domínguez towards Vidal.
