Córdoba inflation registered an increase of 4.08% in May, according to data provided by the CPI. This index reflects a slowdown compared to April, when inflation was 6.74%.
Consumer prices increased by 4.08% in May, and the monthly variation of goods was 3.30%, while services experienced an increase of 5.80%.
The year-on-year increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in Córdoba reached 274.95%. Despite the monthly slowdown, these data show that inflation continues to be a persistent problem for the Córdoba economy.

Goods, which represent 59% of the basket, had a variation of 3.30% in May compared to the previous month, while services, which represent the remaining 41% of the basket, registered a variation of 5.80%.

Seasonal, Regulated and Rest CPI
Below is the general level of the CPI disaggregated into three categories: goods and services with seasonal behavior, goods and services whose prices are subject to State regulation or have a high tax content, and the remaining goods and services that make up the basket of the CPI (core or underlying inflation).
In the month of May 2024, seasonal goods and services registered an increase of 1.18% compared to the previous month. For their part, regulated goods and services had a variation of 5.89%, while the rest of the products that make up the CPI basket registered an increase of 3.76%.
