“This is a big misunderstanding, I am against child pornography. I have always fought against it because I am self-taught in cybersecurity and I want to be like you (referring to prosecutors) to combat it. I am a right-wing person,” said Matías Di Paola, in the first hearing he was in front of a judge, after falling for possession and distribution of child pornography, within the framework of a police operation that was carried out simultaneously in several provinces of Argentina.

Finally, a year and two months later, the 37-year-old individual is on trial and this Friday, June 14, 2024, the arguments of the prosecution and the defense will be presented. Prosecutor Roberto Mallea would ask for nine years in prison for the man, that is the expected sentence that the UFI Anivi has with the rawsino.

According to the Public Prosecutor’s Office, it was shown that the accused provided 1,494 files with images of children, victims of abuse and sexual exploitation. In addition, they highlighted that a disk with 30,000 videos and photos of pedophile material was kidnapped.

The trial began this Monday, June 10, 2024. The trial judge is Guillermo Adárvez. The prosecutor Eduardo Mallea and the prosecutor’s assistant Andrea Insegna, from the UFI Anivi, will make the arguments for the Public Prosecutor’s Office, while the defense lawyers Sandra Leveque and Leonardo Villalba will give their arguments to prove that their client is innocent.
