Rosa Emelina Peralta, 38 years old and originally from Fonseca (La Guajira)was found dead on Monday, June 10 with signs of mechanical asphyxiation near a window in the living room of his residence in Spain.
“It could be a feminicide, which is something very delicate currently. The authorities are the ones who will have to confirm whether this was the case or not,” the brother said.
She had lived there for six months with her husband, Sergio Torres González, and their three children, ages 14, 12, and 5.
The only information her family in Colombia knows about her death comes from her husband. They are waiting for the forensic opinion.

“We don’t really know what happened to our sister. It was not a suicide because there was already a history of domestic violence. We need the help of the competent authorities to clarify these facts that have us in anxiety,” added the victim’s brother.
The source consulted in Fonseca (La Guajira) explained that they have WhatsApp conversations about Rosa with her mother – who is devastated – and cousins, in which days before her death she spoke of abuse by her partner and a brother. her husband, who would have “thrown her out of their house like dogs.”
“She felt depressed and even wanted to return, but one of her daughters didn’t want to. She was not going to leave her daughter and that put pressure on her. My mother was willing to borrow money for the tickets, but she couldn’t do anything about what happened,” her brother said.
