The Neiva Metropolitan Police managed to capture an individual who was part of the most wanted cartel for the crime of theft in the department of Caquetá.

This is Juan Carlos Tumbo Acevedo, 29 years old, who voluntarily made himself available to the authorities in the capital of Huila.

“United members of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Metropolitan Police of Neiva, National Army and in coordination with the Attorney General’s Office, they managed to materialize the arrest warrant for Juan Carlos Tumbo Acevedo, for the crime of qualified theft, who decided to surrender. voluntarily to the facilities of the Prosecutor’s Office in the south of the capital of Huila,” said a spokesperson for the Neiva Metropolitan Police.

According to the investigations, the individual would allegedly be involved in the theft of a mobile device in the capital of Caquetá. “This man, according to the investigation carried out, allegedly stole a high-end cell phone from a citizen, using a firearm, in the city of Florencia Caquetá,” the institution added.

It is worth mentioning that within his background, he reports judicial notes for the crimes of theft, illegal possession of firearms and abusive carnal access.

Thus, the defendant was left at the disposal of the competent authority to serve his sentence.

Colonel Alexander Castillo Marín, commander of the Neiva Metropolitan Police, pointed out that “citizen information, combined with the excellent work of the judicial and police authorities, allows us to produce compelling results like this.”
