On the afternoon of this Thursday, June 13, a car fire on a public road in Holguín was reported on social networks.

In videos that were published by an Internet user identified as Roberto Carlo Estrada Guerra, you can see the vehicle engulfed in flames.

“Holguín Bayamo Highway leaving the airport,” the complainant wrote.

In the images, a group of firefighters appears putting out the flames of the car during the fire, but apparently the fire consumed the entire unit, leaving a total loss.

In the comments of the publication, a Cuban said that “at least the firefighters came to pour water,” which he described as a record; But another assured that this quick action was due to the fact that the fire truck is from the airport and the incident occurred near the air terminal.

Other users regretted what happened, since surely that vehicle was the fruit of the work and sacrifice of a Cuban, which today remained in ashes.

Apparently, no one was injured during the incident.

A user identified as Genier Sotto Ramirez, who judging from a comment could be the driver of this unit, regretted what happened and also shared the publication:

“A pain that I experienced firsthand as the driver of that great car. “Fighting for so many years to lose it in minutes”he expressed.

At this time, it is unknown what may have caused the fire.

This type of incident usually happens a lot on the island, which is why the authorities are studying requiring that drivers have a fire extinguisher in each unit, to prevent total losses of the cars.
