The Manizales and Caldas cycling team is ready to leave its mark on the Vuelta a Colombia

The Manizales professional cycling team is preparing to face the challenge of the Vuelta a Colombia, a test of endurance and strategy that will travel more than 1,295 kilometers through the cycling heart of the country.

With their sights set on glory, seven cyclists from the Manizales professional team are getting ready for the Vuelta a Colombia, which will take place from June 14 to 23. This event, which is one of the most emblematic of national cycling, will see athletes travel through the departments of Boyacá, Cundinamarca, Tolima, Caldas, Risaralda, Valle and Antioquia, in a race that promises to be as challenging as it is exciting.

After more than a decade without their own participation in this event, Manizales and the Government of Caldas return to the competition with a team strengthened by recent successes in the Vuelta a Antioquia. “The results obtained… today put us in a position of contention in the Vuelta a Colombia,” says Diego Fernando Espinosa Benjumea, Secretary of Sports.

The team, supported by the Mayor’s Office of Manizales, the Government of Caldas and the sponsor 100% Eggs, is made up of cyclists such as Didier Chaparro, Yesid Pira, Daniel Hoyos, Jordan Tabares, Juan Pablo Vallejo, Jhon Anderson Rodríguez and Yeison Rincón.

“We have an experienced roster, headed by Didier Chaparro and Yesid Pira, but as we all know, in cycling, the road places each rider at their moment. Then, there will also be Daniel Hoyos, Jordan Trabares, Juan Pablo Vallejo, John Anderson Rodríguez, who are already recognized figures and who have several Tours of Colombia under their belts,” adds the secretary.
