The TC arrives in Rafaela for the Race of Millions

Road Tourism will have a key date in Rafaela. There are four episodes left to finish the regular season and the first of them will be the Race of Millions, a classic of recent times. As throughout 2024, they will be on the track the Rio Negro José Manuel Urcera (Mustang) and the Neuquéns Juan Cruz Benvenuti (Chevrolet) and Lautaro De la Iglesia (Dodge).

Entering the group of 12 that will fight to enter the Gold Cup is everyone’s great goal. Urcera is comfortable in second place, behind Julián Santero; while De la Iglesia is, today, the last of those classifiedin 12th place. It is more complicated for Benvenuti, who is 23rd.

Santero (Falcon) and Urcera, along with Mariano Werner (Mustang) and Mauricio Lambiris (Falcon), are part of the quartet of Ford users who dominate the tournament from the second date. The exception was Tobías Martínez, who won the first of the year, with Torino NG.


The program


The track activity will begin tomorrow. TC Pista, with the presence of Joaquín Ochoa, from Viedma, will be in charge of opening the game with the first training session, at 9:55. The TC will put it into first gear at 11:05. In the afternoon there will be the classifications, while at 17:15 there will be the TC Pista series. On Sunday, starting at 10, the first series of the TC will take place, while the finals are scheduled for 11:40 and 12:55respectively.

This weekend’s It will be the seventh edition of the Millions Race and the winner will win a prize of 8,000,000 pesos. For the first time they will be with new generation cars and there are several candidates to keep the check.

Mariano Werner, in 2016, with Ford, was the first winner of this special test at the Rafaela oval. In the following years, Emiliano Spataro (Torino) and Mauricio Lambiris (Ford) prevailed, all with a prize of 1 million pesos. Manu Urcera (Chevrolet) took 2 million in 2019while Agustín Canapino (Chevrolet) and Santiago Mangoni (Chevrolet) were the last winners, with 3 and 4 million. Now, they doubled.
