The members of the Gonzaleana Association of La Rioja confirmed the participation of José Emilio Burucúa in the 2024 Book Fair, which will take place from July 3 to 13 at the Castro Barros Cultural Walk. The Argentine essayist and art historian, doctor in Philosophy and Letters, researcher and professor at the National University of San Martín (Buenos Aires), was invited to the event by the Gonzaleana Association for the presentation of his dictionary in one of the most important cultural events. important in the province.
The management of your visit is carried out in coordination with the Secretariat of Cultures and the Government of the Province. Burucúa is scheduled to remain in the city on July 3 and 4; where – in addition to its participation in the Book Fair – it is part of other activities.
In that sense, the writer and member of the Gonzaleana Association, Roberto Rojo, commented that the request is in process for the National University of La Rioja to recognize the Buenos Aires intellectual with the title of Dr. Honoris Causa.
Furthermore, Rojo highlighted the career and training of the academic, who is also the winner of four Konex awards, and celebrated that the province can count on his presence at an event that brings together lovers of literature and culture in general.
“Burucúa’s link with La Rioja is itself with the history and culture of Rioja. In fact, in the last book that he is going to publish soon, about civilization, in the epilogue he dedicates a large part to the Antinaco-Los Colorados area,” Rojo argued.
