A Santa Marta judge sentenced a trans woman to 20 years in prison after being found responsible for the crimes of sexual acts with a minor under 14 years of age and a claim for aggravated sexual exploitation with a minor under 18 years of age.

The judicial determination was adopted by the judicial office after endorsing the evidence presented by a Magdalena Sectional prosecutor against Teresa Martínez Chamorro, who was transferred to a detention center in the region.

The Prosecutor’s Office established that between May and June 2020, the now sentenced woman, taking advantage of the socioeconomic conditions of the victims aged 13, 15 and 16, deceived them and subjected them to sexual harassment.

The Prosecutor’s Office showed that Martínez Chamorro, 29, offered them 10,000 pesos each, in exchange for allowing him to touch their bodies.

Martínez Chamorro was captured on October 23, 2020 by the National Police in the Chimila II neighborhood of Santa Marta.
Due to these events, this person was subsequently placed under the orders of the Attorney General’s Office.
