The multimodal transport operator Ruscon, of Russiaannounced the creation of a new route for the delivery of goods To Cubawhich could become a regular route for shipping supplies to the Island, but which would seek use the country as a logistics center for the distribution of cargo for Russian companies.

According to the specialized media PortNews, The containers would travel by sea from the Novorossiysk terminal to the port of Marielwhere the Special Development Zone is located, the main commercial project of the Cuban regime, which Havana has not been able to exploit, despite presenting it as an enclave for the development of business with foreign firms.

The shipments would then be sent to the Caribbean, added the note. The containers, it specifies, would be delivered with the sender’s seal, without repackaging at the transshipment port.

Transit time is 40 days and the first shipment was scheduled for June 13, the note added.

Ruscon is part of the Delo Group of Companies, an operator for the delivery of containerized cargo from Russia and the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), linked to the Federation.

Cuban authorities have emphasized increasing business with Russiawhich above all has contributed with humanitarian donations, especially food, and some shipments of oil, to alleviate the serious crisis that the country is suffering.

Between last week and this week, Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas and Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez were in Moscow with agendas to strengthen the mutual alliance. This, at the same time that a Russian war flotilla arrived in Havana to stay there for several days.
