In an operation carried out by members of Squadron 65 “Córdoba” of the National Gendarmerie, a shipment of contraband cell phones valued at 60,000,000 pesos and 15 grams of marijuana were seized. The procedure was carried out on National Route No. 9, at kilometer 758.5.
Gendarmerie stopped a car in which two citizens were traveling from the city of Córdoba with their final destination in the province of La Rioja. During the inspection of the vehicle, the uniformed officers found in the trunk a box containing 30 mobile devices of foreign origin. These phones were in violation of Law 22,415 of the Customs Code.
The seized merchandise was made available to the AFIP-DGA, Córdoba delegation, for the corresponding procedures. Additionally, during the search, it was detected that the occupants of the vehicle were transporting 15 grams of marijuana among their belongings.
The Córdoba Anti-Drug Trafficking Prosecutor’s Office intervened in the case, ordering the seizure of the narcotic substance.
