A 52 year old man was found dead inside a abandoned building of the Freire street, between Pedro Montt and Independenciain the city of Valparaiso.

The place had become, months ago, a focus of incivilities associated with homeless people and drug usesituations that had generated concern among those who live in the neighboring properties.

The deceased had a extensive police record and was found lifeless inside a ditch with garbagepresenting an estimated death date of about 24 hours.

He prosecutor Roberto Depaux indicated that an investigation is being carried out “possible crime of homicide”.

“The detectives have dedicated themselves to taking different statements, registrations, and collecting security cameras, in order to reliably establish what the dynamics of the incident were,” said the Subprefect Flavio Espinoza, of the PDI Homicide Brigade.

MUNICIPALITY WILL DECLARE “ABANDONMENT”

Daniel Ramírez, municipal administrator of Valparaísoindicated that the property belongs to the South Pacific Companywith whose representatives contact has been made, but “to date -and over the months – they still do not take charge of the recovery and completion of the work they started on their property”.
