They prevented an attack against the public force in Nariño

On the Cumbal – Chiles highway, uniformed Police Surveillance Patrols with the support of canine guides who are experts in detecting explosive material, carried out the seizure of a shipment of explosives that were in a heavy-duty vehicle, the which would have been conditioned to hide this detonating material.
Inside the car, the authorities found 11 thousand meters of detonating cord, four thousand meters of safety fuse and 50 thousand detonators which are initiating devices used to explode bombs, explosive charges and other types of explosive material.
The vehicle where the explosives were hidden had apparently been stolen in the municipality of Ipiales and driven to this place where it would have been prepared to possibly carry out a terrorist attack against the public force.
It should be noted that different armed groups have criminal and criminal interference in this sector, the department’s police are carrying out investigations to determine for what purpose this car bomb was prepared and who would be behind this criminal action.
