They will be at surprising points this Wednesday and they do not rule out going to the bridges

Under the slogan “We need to start working NOW”, Social organizations in Neuquén announced a surprising fight plan starting this Wednesday which will involve road closures in different locations in the province. They don’t rule out going to the bridges. This was confirmed by Diego Mauro, leader of the Front of Organizations in Struggle (FOL).

In a statement released this morning they assured that three months have passed since the provincial government committed to jobs that have not materialized so far. «Initially, 30 works had been stipulated, among which were homes and important works. Then, without executing them, they changed the works to sidewalks and ditches. There were 7 that started soon. However, only two have been signed and the others remain. Of the two signed, the continuity is for one month,” they stated.

They indicated that “the government presents the progress by showing society the signing of the agreements, but in reality the funds are not deposited and the times are delayed” and that keeps the social program frozen, in income and amounts.

He pointed out that the government also did not comply with the meeting schedule in the interior of the province, it did not provide answers regarding public works, food assistance or social programs.

For these reasons, social organizations launched a fight plan starting this Wednesday the 19th on routes in Neuquén and for an indefinite period of time to demand “urgent” responses. The protests come in a week crossed by holidays and therefore could complicate traffic on the region’s routes.
