President Gustavo Petro announced this Saturday morning that he canceled his trip to the peace summit that is being held this weekend in Switzerland and in which solutions for the confrontation taking place between Ukraine and Russia would be analyzed. According to the head of state, he suspended his visit to this global event because he considered it an allegiance to war.
“What we have found in relation to the peace conference, in quotes, in Switzerland, is that it is basically an allegiance to the side of war and we do not agree with that,” Petro said in a statement on his last day of office. tour in Stockholm (Sweden).

Petro made this announcement during a floral offering at the grave of Olaf Palmer, murdered on February 28, 1986, who was Prime Minister of Sweden and leader of the Social Democratic Party in his country.
