ELECTROHUILA, 77 years transmitting good energy • La Nación

Since the founding of the first electrical plant in Huila in 1908, until the transformation of Centrales Eléctricas del Huila SA into Electrificadora del Huila SAESP in 1971, the energy history of the region has been one of constant evolution and development. Over the years, various societies and companies have been established to manage the generation and distribution of energy in the area, marking important milestones in the electrical infrastructure of the department. In particular, the electrification company has played a fundamental role in the provision of energy services throughout the department of Huila, with headquarters strategically located in four municipalities. Its commitment to quality service is reflected in the implementation of advanced information systems and the adoption of a strategic approach to face the challenges of the energy sector.

Altamira – Segovianas 115 kV Projects

On April 28, 2023, at 7:00 p.m., the Altamira – Segovianas 115 kV project and its associated modules entered into commercial operation, which had an investment of approximately $70 billion pesos with the following scope: Construction of a 115 kV transmission line with a length of 40 kilometers, leaving the Altamira substation and arriving at the Segovianas substation, located in the municipality of La Plata, passing through the municipalities: Altamira, Tarqui, Pital and La Plata. This project benefits the western region of the department of Huila, particularly the following municipalities: La Plata, Paicol, Tesalia, Pital, Iquira, La Argentina and the town of Puerto Valencia in the department of Cauca, benefiting a total of 38,851 clients .

PCH LA PITA PROJECT

Electrohuila SA ESP, in order to help preserve the terrestrial ecosystem of the village of Villa Rica, where the energy transformation project is carried out in the La Majo stream, has been carrying out work together with the community of said village, located in the buffer zone of the Cerro Páramo de Miraflores Regional Natural Park, to carry out forest reforestation compensation processes. To date, 5,200 trees have been delivered and are already planted and the same community has been in charge of helping to preserve 9 of these species. Likewise, on October 24 of this year, ElectroHuila SA ESP delivered 10 different species of seeds, such as carrots, cabbage, lettuce, different types of onion, cilantro, among other seeds, to the beneficiary community of the Villa Rica village, so that the community of this village can start their own community gardens for the benefit of the inhabitants of this community.

Energy Transition

Together with ECOPETROL and FENOGE, we are working on the structuring and development of projects associated with energy communities and community distributed generation. Additionally, with ALCANOS, the structuring of a generation project from Non-Conventional Sources of Renewable Energy – FNCER has begun.

Electric system

The electrical system of the department of Huila benefits 447,034 users, including 446,898 in the regulated market and 136 in the unregulated market. Another important aspect to highlight is the development of projects from the Funds associated with the Ministry of Mines and Energy, such as the Electrical Networks Normalization Program – PRONE, with four (4) projects in the municipalities of Neiva, Tesalia, Elias and Campoalegre. improving the quality of life for 809 families, Financial Support Fund for the Energization of Interconnected Rural Areas – FAER, with five (5) projects in the municipalities of Acevedo, San Agustin and Suaza favoring 2,662 families, and Financial Support Fund for the Energization of Non-Interconnected Zones – FAZNI with one (1) project that benefits 763 families.

The electrical system has 2 connection points to the National Transmission System (Betania and Altamira) and 6 115 kV substations that are responsible for distributing energy through 51 substations, 220 circuits and 20,261 distribution transformers. All of these circuits are constantly automated in Oracle databases. In addition, it has the strategic installation of 497 reclosers in the regional electrical system, which operate within the control center. This infrastructure is essential to guarantee an efficient and reliable electricity supply throughout the Huila region.

Project 7 Municipalities

In order to increase coverage and provide better quality of service, ElectroHuila, through the investment plan, advances the execution of the contracts associated with the 7 municipalities plan, which consists of the construction of medium and low voltage electrical networks as a platform for economic development in the rural and urban areas of the municipalities of Campoalegre, Hobo, Gigante, La Plata, La Argentina, De Elías and Pitalito, with an investment of more than 8,140 million pesos, the quality of life of 687 is improved families approximately distributed among the following sectors; Vereda Versalles de Pitalito La Vereda Aguadas, San Vicente, Villa Nueva, Maria Auxiliadora, Alto Oritoguaz, Las Delicias, Potrerillos, Oritoguaz, El Progreso, La Esperanza, Laguneta and Barrio El Centro of the Municipality of Elías.The Barrios Centenario and Las Brisas De Campoalegre, Barrio Jardín de La Argentina, La Vereda El Garrucho of the Municipality of Gigante. Fee

Understanding the economic difficulties that thousands of Huila families are going through, and, assuming the commitment mandated in the National Development Plan, of President Gustavo Petro, which determines the substantial values related to social justice and the promotion of medium and small industry , we are pleased to announce that despite the increases in the rate components, we have made a financial effort to adjust the Marketing component (through the variable COT – Rate Option Balance), said component goes from a value of 78 .93 $/kWh (February/24) to a value of 33.37 $/kWh (May/24). This effort and rate adjustment has a significant impact on the unit cost of the service, since, by May 2024, the rate per kWh would have been $1,029.28/kWh and with the adjustments made it was $996.28/kWh .
