The Brazilian Symphony Orchestra arrives in Córdoba to perform a concert on Friday, June 28 at 8 p.m. at the Teatro del Libertador San Martín.
It is an official body renamed the Petrobras Symphony, after the state fuel company that has a very active policy regarding culture in the neighboring country.
In this case, it will come under the direction of Isaac Karabtchevsky, an internationally famous teacher, and will feature the performance of the piano soloist, Jean-Louis Steuerman, an award-winning performer in competitions such as the Johann Sebastian Bach Competition in Leipzig.

As for the program, the group will offer the formidable Piano Concerto N.2, by the Russian composer Serguei Rachmaninoff, featuring the soloist Steuerman (once conducted by Claudio Abbado with the London Symphony), and Brazilian Bachianas (N.9 and N.4), by Heitor Villa-Lobos, the famous Brazilian composer recognized for linking the folklore of his native country and educational work.
