Nariño Governorate sends humanitarian aid to Policarpa in the face of combat crisis

The humanitarian situation in the municipality of Policarpa continues to be critical, after the combats registered in the town of Madrigal, which have generated the massive displacement and confinement of at least 3 thousand people towards the town of El Ejido, the Betania village and the capital. municipal.

Given the delicate situation, the Government of Nariño, through the Undersecretariat of Peace and Human Rights, immediately activated the care route for the population victims of armed conflict and transferred nine tons of humanitarian aid containing basic necessities from Pasto. with which the population will make community pots to care for boys, girls, pregnant women, older adults, men and women who demand a bilateral ceasefire that allows them to return to their homes.

Authorities in Nariño held an extraordinary security council with the purpose of comprehensively serving the entire population affected by the armed conflict, which exceeds 8 days of clashes in the mountains of the Nariño mountain range.
