State workers of Neuquén threaten to go on strike if they deduct the days of claim against the Bases Law

The treatment and approval of the Bases Law in the Senate still continues to generate discrepancies and Neuquén does not escape that reality. In the last hours, the Minister of Government, Jorge Tobares, declared that the discount will be made for the days not worked due to adherence to the force measure against the national ruling party’s bill. From ATE Neuquén, they responded with a harsh warning.

“If they touch us one day, we will stop the entire province until they are reinstated,” said Carlos Quintiqueo. on his X account (Twitter) while sharing an article that raised Tobares’ statements on Am 550.

The minister was consulted about the possibility of making these discounts to those who joined the June 12 strike called by several unions within the framework of the debate on the Bases Law. In Neuquén, in addition to ATE, the teaching unions ATEN and the judicial unions SEJUN, among others, agreed to the measure.

“It is a measure that is taken in response to a decision that does not depend on the government of the province of Neuquén. It is totally unrelated to any provincial negotiation, and it affected the rights of many other people who required the attention of a health service or attention in the area of land or tourism or in education,” said Tobares, who also highlighted that the policy of the “unjustified day”, day that is discounted” is part of Rolando Figueroa’s management.

«We can share the political perspective, but this measure affects the rights of other people«he emphasized regarding unemployment.
