With the purpose of guaranteeing the adequate provision of services and adoption of health measures for emergency situations that may arise in Santa Marta as a result of the rainy season, District Health declares a yellow hospital alert for the Health sector in the institutions. public and private that provide health care at the hospital level, emergencies, pre-hospital care and healthcare transportation.
From now until June 30 of this year, health experts will implement contingency plans as a preparation measure that allows them to guarantee an immediate, adequate and timely response in the event of an emergency situation.
In this sense, the hospital network of the capital of Magdalena must have the basic and maximum operational availability in each entity in the event of an emergency, thus guaranteeing the necessary supplies, it will also have to verify the conditions of blood availability, in turn , prioritize attention to emergency events over the scheduling of outpatient procedures.
Likewise, they must reinforce the medical teams in the emergency services and supply and surgical medical supplies, they must also have knowledge and activation of the call chain of all personnel, if required.
On the other hand, according to the health authority, they will have the responsibility of notifying the respective authorities of events that imply public health or epidemiological interest; if it is a mass event, they must notify the Emergency Regulatory Center.
