The Mayor’s Office of Single Disciplinary Control firmly established the sanction with inability to exercise public functions for a term of 14 years for Jorge Andrés Amaya Ospinain his capacity as an administrative assistant assigned to the Ministry of Environment and Disaster Risk Management, after leaving his position without just cause.

“This person failed to fulfill his duties, incurring an offense considered very serious that resulted in his inability to perform public functions for 14 years. This sentence is fully enforceable and final.since no appeal was filed against it,” explained Felipe La Rota, head of the Office of Single Disciplinary Control.

The ruling is generated after exhausting the stages of the disciplinary process that concluded that, Mr. Amaya Ospina, decided to go on a trip without the corresponding permission and without there being just cause to be absent from his position. It is noteworthy that the Administrative Secretariat terminated the official’s employment after the decision issued in the first instance.

“It should be noted that in the coming days four statements of charges will be notified for alleged disciplinary offenses by some officials of the Municipal Administration and we will continue working so that all the processes carried out are effective, efficient and comply with due process,” concluded La Rota.
