Educational institutions begin to prepare to develop knowledge and present different projects integrating concepts and disciplines in a transversal manner.
The General Directorate of Schools reports that Mendoza schools began to organize for the STEAM Science Fair 2024an educational space that aims to promote among students, of all levels and modalities, the comprehensive development of skills and competencies in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics.
The school government held a first meeting, which took place last Wednesday, between supervisors, directors and line directors, where the high attendance and commitment to participation of the province’s schools in this important educational event was highlighted.
It should be noted that schools must develop different actions within the classrooms and, within the framework of the fair, follow a schedule of activities proposed by the DGE through memorandum 4179031 issued by the Undersecretariat of Education, where dates, actions, training are established. and all the regulations.
From July 22 to August 23, schools must upload their projects to be selected and, in this way, go to the national level.
The STEAM 2024 Science Fair is an educational process that begins in the classroom and continues throughout the school year, helping to improve learning and optimize teaching.
This year, it is new that the fair works have a situated STEAM approach, which means integrating knowledge in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics.
Public, state-run and private institutions of all levels and modalities participate. The works presented are prepared by the entire class and not just by a group, framed in school regulations, coexistence, jurisdictional curricular designs and federal and national documents.
Action schedule:
- June 12 to 21: school registration through drive form.
- June 12 to 21: selection of evaluator teachers.
- June 28: first training meeting for teachers.
- July 3: second training meeting for teachers.
- July 22 to August 23: upload of projects selected by school to participate in the fair.
