In a high-level meeting, the Minister of Education of the province, Silvia Fuentes, together with the secretary Mariela Lueje and the legal advisor Andrés Troche, received the Australian ambassador to Argentina, Simón Edward Twisk, and Andrés Domínguez, economic attaché of the Embassy. The Australian diplomat expressed his interest in the work that mining companies from his country are developing in Argentina, particularly in copper projects, and discussed the possibility of future collaborations in this area.

Twisk also highlighted the importance of establishing agreements for professional training in science, technology and innovation, mentioning scholarship programs that Australia offers through universities in other Argentine provinces. This interest reflects Australia’s commitment to strengthening the training of human and technological resources in Argentina.

For her part, Minister Silvia Fuentes thanked the willingness shown by the ambassador and his team to initiate contacts that could result in beneficial agreements for both parties. She stressed the importance of enhancing academic development and vocational training, ensuring that students are prepared to meet the demands of the labor and professional market.

As a gesture of appreciation and on behalf of regional production, the ministerial authorities gave typical high-quality products from the San Juan region to the Australian diplomats, thus highlighting the wealth and productive diversity of the province.
