Sad and hurt, this is how the family and friends of a woman from La Plata who lost her life after suffering a tragic traffic accident in the department of Huila, when she was traveling as a griller on a motorcycle, have expressed themselves.
The road accident occurred on the road that connects the municipality of Campoalegre with the municipality of Hobo, near the sector known as Piscícola. The woman was identified as María Berrío, a native of the municipality of Plato, Magdalena.
The Traffic and Transportation Section of the Huila Police Department reported that the victim was traveling as a griller on a motorcycle with license plate TGT-36C, which was driven by a man and for unknown reasons ended up colliding with a vehicle of the Flota Huila company with TBS license plates. -251.
The strong crash caused both occupants of the motorcycle to be ejected and fall on the asphalt. Berrío lost his life instantly as a result of the severity of his injuries; Meanwhile, the driver suffered injuries and blows to different parts of his body and was helped by paramedics and taken to a medical center, where he is receiving specialized care from doctors on duty.
Officials from the mobile criminalistics unit of the Traffic and Transportation Police carried out the technical inspection of the corpses and after completing the urgent actions, they took them to the Forensic Medicine and Forensic Sciences morgue. The woman from Plateña will be buried in the next few hours in her homeland.
