Practically since its inception, year after year, Mayor Julio Uribe has accompanied the celebration of the anniversary of this renowned organization.
“Something that characterizes us is always protecting the culture, supporting our organizations and that is what we are doing today. As always, we do not miss the anniversary of the Circle of Children and Friends of Chiloé, they are committed to Aysén, to folklore. Therefore, we are always attentive, pending what things we can collaborate with. I believe that it is an institution that has earned the respect of our entire community and with Don José we have been friends for several years, since 2008 when I took office as Regional Councilor, since then, we have been involved, collaborating with different projects and always pulling. the Chilota and Aysenina culture forward,” said the mayor.
“There is plenty of thread on the reel to work for culture,” in this way, José Pincol, president of the Circulo Hijos y Amigos de Chiloé, began his words at the organization’s 26th celebration. “We intend to continue much more, because there is a lot of strength and a lot of thread left in the reel to work for culture, for what is our identity and to be with the people of Aysén. On June 10, 1998, this organization was created, with the need to preserve and spread our Chilota culture, so as not to forget the old traditions that we brought from the island. We have worked well, with projects, every year we do different things, folklore, crafts, food, weaving, among other activities.”
José Pincol highlighted the permanent work with other organizations, public services, authorities and in particular with the mayor of Aysén, Julio Uribe and the Municipality.
