In the heart of Atlantic the new one is located Police Commanda modern space that will be put into operation starting this Wednesday and will strengthen security in 18 of the department’s municipalities.

The project for the construction of this space was carried out by the Temporary Union Command 08 and contemplated an investment greater than $25 billionwithin the framework of an inter-administrative agreement between the Governorate of the Atlantic and the Ministry of the Interior.
It should be noted that in the first phase, 5,960 square meters were intervened and a second phase is planned to be developed, for a total of 18,464 square meters.

The infrastructure of the new Command was designed according to the operational needs and administrative Policein order to meet the security requirements and the call of the community in different work fronts.
According to Governor Eduardo Verano, this new Command will increase the fight against crime in the 18 municipalities that make up the jurisdiction of the Atlantic Policeas well as strengthen the operation of the institution in the metropolitan area of Barranquilla.

“We are going to move La Deata from Soledad to Sabanalarga. Here we are going to have all kinds of logistical and technological support, which will allow us to strengthen intelligence. Added to this is that the building that is in Loneliness, in the Los Almendros neighborhood, will be a new office for the municipality. Indirectly we are strengthening the Metropolitan Police of Barranquilla, which will have a new special headquarters for Soledad,” said the departmental leader.
He emphasized that the allocation of new infrastructure for Soledad is key, taking into account that “it is one of the largest and most important cities in the country; “We are going to adapt it in the best way to serve Soledad.”
