The man who died at the San Juan de Dios hospital in Armenia was identified as William Medina, after a hitman attack suffered in a billiard hall in the downtown area of the city of Armenia.
The homicide occurred in the establishment located on Carrera 19 and Calle 15, according to the official report delivered from the Quindío Police Department, at 9:20 pm last Saturday, June 15.
According to data collected by police officers, Medina, 25 years old, was at the pool hall, was approached by a subject who shot him without saying a word and subsequently fled.
The injured person, as a result of firearm projectiles, was taken to the San Juan de Dios hospital. Despite the efforts of health professionals, the shots were lethal and he died.
The Criminal Investigation Section, Sijín, carried out the technical inspection of the corpse and is carrying out the respective investigation in coordination with officials from the Prosecutor’s Office, with the purpose of clarifying the facts and finding the person responsible for it.
