Atlético Bucaramanga won its first Colombian league title in its 75-year history. The team led by Rafael Dudamel reached the star by beating Independiente Santa Fe 6-5 on penalties. Aldair Quintana was one of the great figures with two saved penalties. He did so in the collections of Agustín Rodríguez and Julián Millán.
Aldair spoke after the victory in Bogotá and highlighted the support of his teammates and family to achieve this championship. The goalkeeper has his second league title, he had already won one with Atlético Nacional in 2022. At 29 years old, he established himself as the best in his position in Colombian soccer.
“Speechless. Give the title to Bucaramanga, remain in the history of the team. I am speechless. Thank God, life, my family… I have had to live through difficult times and today life and God are rewarding me,” Quintana said in dialogue with Win Sports.
Regarding the penalty shootout in the southern arc of Campín, Aldair said that he had studied all the Santa Fe collectors, it was a job with his goalkeeper coach, Jorge Rayo. He covered 2 of the 7 charges they made. Figure for history.
