In a commercial establishment in the Girardot neighborhood, José Daniel Mujica Guevara was killed after receiving two gunshot wounds to the head. According to authorities, it would be a homicide due to the sale of drugs in the area.
The hitman occurred at 11:55 pm, this Sunday, June 16, on Carrera 5 and Calle 27 in the Girardot neighborhood in the central area of Bucaramanga.
According to the report from the Metropolitan Police of Bucaramanga, Mebuc, in an establishment with the company name ‘Donde el Chino’ there was a man identified as José Daniel Mujica Guevara, 27 years old, of Venezuelan nationality.
He was accompanied by a woman who would be his romantic partner who told the Police that he was dedicated to ‘motorcycle taxi’ and lived in the area known as ‘La Curtiembre’ in the Nápoles neighborhood in the south of the city.
“The victim was in the company of his partner consuming food inside the commercial establishment, at which time he was surprised by two subjects aboard a motorcycle, where the griller got off,” the Police noted in the report.

The hitman pulled out a firearm and shot José Mujica repeatedly. Once the homicide was committed, he boarded the motorcycle of his accomplice and they fled in an unknown direction.
Two of the impacts were to the head, causing death instantly. The body was left inside the commercial establishment where four nine-millimeter pistol grips were also found.
“Two wounds in the right temporal region (head), with an entrance hole with no exit,” indicated the forensic report.
In the Sijin database, José Daniel Mujica Guevara had three entries as suspected of drug trafficking crimes in the years 2023 and 2024; and theft in 2022.
The causes, according to the Police, would be related to issues of sale of drug trafficking.
“We have information that the victim was a drug dealer in the lower Naples sector, but recently he had been seen selling in the Santander neighborhood sector,” said a judicial source.

A brother of the victim who resides in the neighboring country of Venezuela published the photo of José Mujica on his social networks with the message, “little brother, you left without saying goodbye.”
A security camera would have recorded the homicide and is being analyzed by investigators. The CTI of the Prosecutor’s Office was in charge of removing the body and transferring it to the headquarters of the Institute of Legal Medicine of Bucaramanga.
