The National Police Corps in Córdoba remembers its victims of terrorism

The National Police Corps in Córdoba celebrated this Monday the institutional event of the ‘Day of the Victims of Terrorism in the National Police’, with training outside and an event with a wreath at the Visitor Reception Center of the capital , to remember to his 188 victims, including three from the province of Córdoba between 1975 and 1979, all this in the year that the Corps celebrates its 200th anniversary.

The event was chaired by the main commissioner, Dolores López, and the subdelegate of the Government in the province, Ana López, with the assistance of the Minister of Justice, Local Administration and Public Function of the Government of Andalusia, José Antonio Nieto; the delegate of the Board in the province, Adolfo Molina, and the second vice president and delegate of the Presidency, Interior Government and Housing of the Provincial Council, Marta Siles, among other institutional representatives and Córdoba society.

In this regard, the subdelegate has expressed that “it is a day to remember all those who lost their lives and those who have suffered irreparable damage due to violence and hatred”, to which she added that “terrorism is a scourge that “Tries to destroy the fundamental values ​​on which society is built, freedom, justice, equality and peace.” «To the families and friends of the victims, their losses are indelible, their pain is deep and their daily struggle “for moving forward is a testimony to their incredible strength,” he highlighted, to praise the work of the National Police, among other aspects.

For her part, the commissioner has defended “paying tribute to all the men and women who gave their lives for freedom and security in our country; recognize their sacrifice and keep their memory alive, ensuring that their legacy endures over time, that future generations do not forget the high price that life cost, and remember the families who lost a loved one and the co-workers who “They lost a friend.” «They were people who chose a profession that prioritized the well-being and safety of citizens.“, has underlined.

And Joaquín Vidal, president of the Andalusian Association of Victims of Terrorism, an entity that turns 30 in 2025, has asserted that “it was time for this day to be created, because life and blood have been given for this democracy.” at the same time that he has supported that “peace be maintained in democracy”, remembering “those who have endured that in this democracy terrorist murderers have created this enormous stain on this country».
