After the approval of the Bases Law and the Fiscal Package in the Senate, La Libertad Avanza will seek in Deputies to roll back some of the changes applied last week. “We have to respect the convictions that we had as the Chamber of origin,” declared the head of Deputies, Martin Menem.

The Riojan leader targeted Kirchnerism for not having supported the ruling party’s initiative. “The Bases Bill has almost 400 articles. How can it enter into anyone’s head that the force that failed for the last 20 years has not seen a single one in those 400 articles to say that they agree and support?” he questioned. . “They want us to do badly because they lost power and they are not used to that. They don’t care about education, health, investments; It is not an ideological problem, it is a problem of power, when they do not have it they destroy, and when they have it they do what we already saw they did. With which “Our great mission is to end this impoverishing history of Kirchnerism forever.”Menem stated in statements to LN+.

“It is the most important reform in history, due to scandal. It touches on all the issues: labor reform, moratorium, tax issues, there is money laundering, delegated powers, the RIGI…”, he highlighted about the Bases Law and the fiscal package.

In this framework, regarding the treatment in Deputies, it was considered: “I find it hard to believe that someone who voted for this law 45 days ago has another vision regarding the same law.” And he reaffirmed that La Libertad Avanza will seek to reverse with some changes applied in the Senate: “We have to respect the convictions that we had as the Chamber of origin. “We have to be faithful to our convictions and move forward with the project.”he emphasized.

Regarding the incidents and scenes of repression seen in Congress during the processing of the law in the chamber, Menem opined that “the violent must be put in prison.” “We already know how they have behaved. They don’t care what happens to Argentina, they care about their own, their personal, their position,” he added, pointing to Kirchnerism.

“Justice has to act quickly, one thing is to demonstrate peacefully and another thing is to break up public roads. They shit on people’s jobs, they are tiny groups that, God willing, will become extinct.”continued the libertarian legislator.

Menem also pointed out against the radical senator, Martín Lousteau, who presented his own opinion on the Bases Law: “He is part of the failure. He went through all the political parties, he is the author of 125, he tells the government where to allocate the money and when he had the power to do it they did it and it ended badly.”

In principle, the Government conveyed its intentions that the session in Deputies be held as soon as possible. The tentative schedule foresees the signing of the commission’s opinion on Tuesday the 25th and the session on Thursday the 27th. Menem confirmed this Sunday that if it is not discussed in the last week of June, the session will be in the first days of July.

In line with the official narrative, Martín Menem seeks to convince that salaries are beginning to recover purchasing power in the face of inflation.

The head of Deputies recalled the unfortunate phrase of Alberto Fernández when he declared that his Government had “declared war” on inflation. “They lost by a landslide,” said the Riojan. “In 6 months we announced inflation of 4.2% after having started in December with 25% monthly, which ran at 1% daily and which would be equivalent to 17 thousand percent annually,” he celebrated, distorting part of his analysis. .

In this framework, he assured that “salaries are recovering in the face of inflation.” “From the moment inflation is lower than the parity adjustment, proportionally the salary begins to recover,” she explained.

“The economy is settling in,” he emphasized. And although he stated that “the ideal would be to not have any inflation, obviously it lowers activity a little.” “We have to trust because the president said he was going to end inflation and here are the results,” he concluded.
