From June 17 to July 5, the Cathedral Chapter of Córdoba launches an ambitious program of guided visits to the city’s historic Fernandina churches. This program is part of the Fernandina Churches Routean initiative that seeks to highlight the rich architectural and cultural heritage of Córdoba, inviting residents and tourists to discover some of its most significant treasures.

The guided tour program will have both morning and afternoon schedules, thus ensuring wide accessibility for all interested parties. Specific, two guides of the Nartex Association yesThey will be in charge of accompanying the visitors, providing an educational and enriching experience through their knowledge and stories about the history and art of these churches.

Schedules and Routes

Evening Visits

The afternoon visits will take place on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, covering several of the most emblematic churches of the Fernandina Churches Route. At 5:15 p.m., visitors will be able to explore the parishes of San Francisco and San Pedro Apóstol. Subsequently, at 6:00 p.m.s, the guides will lead the groups to the temples of San Lorenzo and the Basilica of the Oath of Saint Raphael. This tour allows attendees to visit two churches in a single day, making the most of the afternoon session.

Morning Visits

In the morning hours, visits will focus on the Episcopal Palace, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This visit offers a detailed view of this magnificent building, which is a jewel of the religious and cultural heritage of Córdoba. On Saturdays, morning visits will begin at 11:00 a.m. in San Francisco and at the same time in San Lorenzo, allowing for a more relaxed and detailed exploration of these impressive temples.
