13 days after the formal closure of activities around the electoral process, the State Electoral and Citizen Participation Council (Ceepac) is still waiting for the 9 million pesos extraordinary requests State Executive Branchsince even a “plan B” would not be enough to cover the expenses, as expressed by the president advisor Paloma Blanco López.
The president of Ceepac stated that they have not received favorable responses from the Finance Secretaryso they have had to maintain dialogue and constantly justify the destination of those resources.
In addition, he mentioned that they are subject to three audits a year and monthly audits were added in which the resource used is transparent.
“Dates have been set, items have been set, concepts have been set and that is what we have worked with. Do we have a plan B? The truth is that a plan B would not be enough for us. Yes, it is necessary to have that resource that is pending.”
Given this, he responded that the fatal date for receiving the resource would be no later than June 30thbut ideally it should be sent sooner, since the deconcentrated organizations end this month, due to the number of challenges and in accordance with the Ceepac calendar.
This involves generating the last per diem payments to the people who integrated them, closing offices, and removing adjustments, freight, etc.

In this year the State Congress approved 80 million pesos less than what was requested by the body for the electoral process, by determining only 100 million pesos in it 2024 Expenditure Budget.
At the time they requested a first budget increase of 50 million pesos and continued with a second request for 29 millionwhich gave a total of 179 million pesos that the Ceepac had estimated for the local elections of which they remain to receive 9 million.
