Soccer and Rowing Teams will receive 42 million pesos in total.

The Los Ríos Regional Council unanimously approved allocating $42 million for the development of two emblematic sports initiatives with regional impact, such as soccer and rowing.

These funds were achieved through the direct allocation line for public entities and emerging and exceptional activities, from the 8% subsidy of the Regional Investment Program of the Regional Government.

The first project, called “Comprehensive Football Looking at the Future”, presented by the Municipality of Río Bueno, aims to promote and improve training in the discipline of football for children and adolescents through a football school.

The second project supported by Gore Los Ríos is the support for the Los Ríos Rowing Team. This initiative seeks to create the best conditions for 20 talented young people (10 women and 10 men in the cadet category) to represent the region in the South American Minors in Asunción, Paraguay 2024.

In this regard, the regional governor, Luis Cuvertino, explained that they are initiatives that favor training work.

“They are direct allocations, in this case for the municipality of Río Bueno, hoping that it can cover the attention of many boys and girls who want to progress and develop through sport,” he said.

“Likewise, we allocate resources so that rowing, in our Minor Team, can be presented in the South American competition in Paraguay,” added the governor.

In turn, the regional advisor, Catalina Hott, stated that this support is a commitment to sport in the region.

Meanwhile, the regional councilor, Carlos Duhalde added that he was happy to be able to support these two sports initiatives with resources.
