OBRAMAT CÓRDOBA | 8,500 square meters and 120 jobs: Obramat inaugurates its DIY center in Córdoba

The new Obramat DIY centerlocated in the polygon of The Amargacena Tower, has remained inaugurated this Tuesday and starting tomorrow, Wednesday, it will be open to the public. The company’s new warehouse has 8,500 square meters, will generate 120 direct jobs and represents a new offer for professionals and individuals in the sector of construction and DIY.

Present at the opening ceremony were: Jose Antonio Fernandezdirector of Obramat, the company’s general director, Antonio Bullidothe delegate of the Junta de Andalucía in Córdoba,Adolfo Molina and the mayor of the city, José María Bellido.

Fernandez has grateful for the work “of all the workers and collaborators who have made this possible”, and remembered that it is the sixth center in Andalusia and number 38 nationally. For his part, Antonio Mullido recalled the Andalusian origins of the company, which was born in 2005 in the Sevillian town of Alcalá de Guadaira. Mullido has insisted on the “important investment made“, with more than 15 million euros which will mean, in addition to the aforementioned direct jobs, “the creation of many others in the warmth of this center.” Finally, he thanked the Córdoba City Council for its collaboration “to make this possible.”

On the other hand, Adolfo Molina has pointed out that it is “a very valuable opportunity for Córdoba capital and province” and has valued both the Andalusian origins of the company and “its contribution for quality employment“. Finally, the mayor of Córdoba took the floor, who highlighted the “importance of recovering a space as significant as Coca Cola“, and noted that “this is an important step forward for the city and a boost for the construction sector.”

The new Obramat DIY center, the first in the city, is presented as a place for both professionals of the guild as for individuals who want to undertake reforms. The warehouse itself, located in the La Torrecilla-Amargacena industrial estate, occupies 8,500 square metersalthough it is located in a space of about 30,000thatincludes a fuel stationfrom the ‘low cost’ company Petroprixa parking for 440 vehiclesincluding 20 points for charging electric cars and an area shipment of goods of more than 2,390 square meters.

As for the warehouse, it has two floors. The higher is reserved for professionals, while the first is divided into several sectionsdepending on the type of product offered in it, such as plumbing, tools, toilets, doors, etc. It also has a cafeteria, toilets and three cash registers..
