Provincial legislator Villegas (Mopof) proposed establishing the right to receive financial compensation for agents of the Security Forces in Tierra del Fuego, to cover the costs of daycare or non-therapeutic assistance for the care of children between 45 days and 3 year old.
The project is aimed at alleviating the economic burden faced by workers, by modifying Provincial Law 735, specifically article 10, which establishes the rights and obligations of police personnel in service.
As for the amount to be reimbursed, this would be established at a value of no less than 40% of the monthly salary, corresponding to the “Assistance and care of people” category of personnel with retirement from the private home personnel regime.
To access this benefit, the worker must present the relevant documentation that demonstrates the expenses in an authorized institution, or under the Employment Contract Regime for Private Home Personnel.
“This measure aims not only to alleviate the economic burden of those who need assistance caring for their children, but also to strengthen the protection of labor rights in this sector,” explained the legislator.
At the same time, he defended that “it guarantees equal opportunities for workers with family responsibilities,” and that the idea represents an important step towards the recognition and support of the needs of security personnel in Tierra del Fuego.
